About the position

As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, you will play a crucial role in enhancing customer experiences and driving sales. Your responsibilities will include engaging with customers, recommending products and services, and maintaining store operations to ensure a positive shopping environment. This entry-level position emphasizes customer service, sales techniques, and product knowledge, particularly in technology and print services, while fostering a culture aligned with Office Depot's core values.

Responsibilities

• Proactively acknowledge and engage every customer to support a positive customer-centric experience.
• Utilize the selling program to promote the sale of the best solutions and additional products/services.
• Maintain store and print department appearance according to company guidelines, ensuring a neat and clean environment.
• Adhere to standards related to signage labeling and merchandise presentation.
• Follow established sorting and stocking guidelines and complete freight processes.
• Organize and set up the freight sorting area in accordance with guidelines.
• Scan, investigate, and fill inventory lows and outs daily.
• Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through provided sales and service tools, including training in Tech and Print.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and support loss prevention efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent education preferred.
• No previous experience required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use technology for job-related tasks.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to establish selling relationships with clients and associates.
• Ability to read, count, and write to complete documentation and process inventory.
