About the position

The Retail Team Lead at Office Depot is a part-time role focused on providing comprehensive solutions to customers, including products, technology, services, furniture, and print offerings. This position emphasizes building customer relationships, supporting a customer-centric environment, and contributing to a positive workplace culture aligned with Office Depot's core values. The Team Lead will engage with customers to drive sales, ensure satisfaction, and may perform key carrier responsibilities, including opening and closing the store.

Responsibilities

  • Support efficient operation in the Print function while driving overall store sales.
  • Assist associates on all equipment within the Print Services area to maintain efficient production and ensure client orders are completed correctly and on-time.
  • Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures and visual merchandising standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
  • Drive positive client satisfaction levels by coaching and training associates to enhance the customer experience.
  • Ensure safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of the management team.
  • Perform opening or closing responsibilities, including driving awareness of key performance indicators and cash handling audits.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in related field, preferably in sales and/or customer service.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use technology for job-related tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to establish selling relationships with customers.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and assist others professionally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail to ensure high-quality production in the Print Services area.
