About the position

The Retail Team Lead at Office Depot Inc. is a part-time role focused on providing comprehensive solutions to customers, including products, technology, services, furniture, and print offerings. This position emphasizes building customer relationships, supporting a customer-centric environment, and contributing to a positive workplace culture aligned with the company's values. The Team Lead will engage with customers, drive sales, and ensure satisfaction while also performing key carrier responsibilities such as opening and closing the store.

Responsibilities

  • Support efficient operation in the Print function while driving overall store sales.
  • Assist associates on all equipment within the Print Services area to ensure client orders are completed correctly and on-time.
  • Utilize communication tools to coordinate appropriate service for all customers throughout the store.
  • Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures and visual merchandising standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and support loss prevention efforts.
  • Drive positive client satisfaction levels by coaching and training associates.
  • Support community outreach initiatives to enhance customer retention.
  • Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through provided tools.
  • Ensure safety and security of the building and associates during management absence.
  • Perform opening or closing responsibilities, including alarm system activation/deactivation.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Sales and/or Customer Service experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use technology for job-related tasks.
  • Advanced selling skills and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and assist others professionally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail to ensure high-quality production in Print Services.
  • Demonstrated passion for the brand and products offered.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Print Services would be desired.
  • Ability to process information through POS register system.
