About the position

The Retail Parts Pro is a professional-level sales position focused on supporting the DIY automotive business. This role requires expert knowledge of automotive systems, store inventory, and advanced sales techniques to assist customers effectively. The position involves managing customer interactions, achieving sales goals, and ensuring high standards of service and store appearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance standards
• Key holder responsibilities including task assignment and completion, safety, and open/close duties
• Assist in store inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.

Requirements

• Professional level sales experience in automotive parts
• Expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts
• Ability to operate inventory systems and store equipment
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions
• Basic math skills for inventory and sales transactions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work flexible hours

Nice-to-haves

• ASE certification preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish) communication skills
