About the position

The Lead for Retail Performance and Store Operations at Neiman Marcus is a pivotal role that supports the Sales Support Manager or RP&SO Senior Manager in overseeing the shipping and receiving of merchandise. This position is crucial for managing resources and operational processes that support sales and maximize store profitability. The Lead will also be responsible for processing store-directed online order requests, ensuring that the store operates efficiently and effectively. As a key player in the store's daily operations, the Receiving Lead may also take on the role of Manager on Duty, providing leadership and guidance to the team. This position requires a hands-on approach, working directly in the store and reporting to the Sales Support Manager. In this role, you will implement prioritization of tasks for daily store operations, ensuring that all activities align with the store's goals. Effective communication is essential, as you will need to liaise with the appropriate divisions regarding shipment delays and errors. Collaborating with Store Management and Associates is vital to fulfill customer orders and transfers, ensuring a seamless shopping experience. You will also be responsible for objectively assessing Associate performance and providing constructive feedback to management to address development opportunities. Additionally, you will handle customer service inquiries related to order changes, cancellations, and other issues, acting as a liaison between the online fulfillment center and store operations. Adhering to safety procedures in all work areas is a critical aspect of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Implement prioritization of tasks for daily store operations and support
  • Communicate with appropriate division regarding shipment delays and errors
  • Work with Store Management and Associates to fulfill customer orders and transfers
  • Objectively assess Associate performance and provide upward feedback to management to address development opportunities
  • Field calls from customer service on order changes including address changes, cancellations, and customer issues
  • Serve as a liaison between the online fulfillment center and store operations
  • Follow all safety procedures on the dock and in all other work areas

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in luxury retail fashion
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to perform basic math computations
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office Product Suite
  • Ability to carry up to 35 pounds
  • A flexible work schedule
