About the position

The Retail Performance Manager at Do it Best Corp. is responsible for aligning with the company's goal of supporting member-owners in the home improvement industry. This role involves developing merchandise plans and coordinating projects to ensure timely delivery of store remodels, expansions, and new locations. The focus is on strategic growth and enhancing member profitability through effective retail practices and merchandising programs. The ideal candidate will be a consultative leader with a strong understanding of retail market assessment and competition, helping independent business owners create operational plans to increase market share.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the needs of targeted owners to create customized business plans for growth.
• Encourage retailers to implement world-class retailing practices and merchandising programs.
• Lead, implement, and coordinate programs as the onsite project manager and subject-matter expert.
• Support owners in renovation and expansion projects and identify new store locations.
• Perform demographic studies, site analysis, and pro forma projections for proposed renovations/expansions.
• Gather market intelligence by visiting competitor locations and attending industry meetings and seminars.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience.
• PC skills such as Microsoft and Google Suite.
• Retail management industry experience preferred.
• Skill and desire to perform data analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Problem-solving and multitasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of retail merchandising best practices and retail store operations.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse groups and be self-motivated.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience as a Retail Merchandiser, Project Manager, Retail Consultant, or Visual Merchandiser.
