About the position

As a Retail Print Supervisor at Office Depot, Inc., you will be responsible for driving print sales and service growth within the store. This role involves managing the print production process, ensuring high-quality print materials, and fostering a customer-centric environment. You will also act as a leader on duty, responsible for opening and closing the store, while promoting a vibrant sales culture and enhancing visual merchandising standards for print products.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of memorable customer experiences and client satisfaction in the Print Department and overall store.
  • Ensure the execution of Office Depot, Inc. selling techniques and sales training in print and across the store.
  • Drive a sales-focused environment through supporting the training and development of all associates, inclusive of print.
  • Act as a role model for delivering exceptional customer service and product expertise.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and ongoing training to all associates to ensure an understanding of print processes and selling techniques.
  • Assist the leadership team in training sessions on the business model and the holistic service offering for clients/customers.
  • Observe, coach, and provide feedback to enhance associate proficiency and build a culture of trust and brand loyalty.
  • Provide feedback to the General Manager on associate performance.
  • Operate all equipment within the Print Services area to maintain efficient production and ensure customers' orders are completed correctly and on time.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies including monitoring and managing all print supplies.
  • Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain the safety and security of the print department, building, and associates during the absence of other managers.
  • Perform opening and closing responsibilities, including activation and deactivation of the store's alarm system, cash handling, and daily store balancing.
  • Ensure regular loss prevention compliance.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education preferred
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in related field
  • Minimum two years management experience or demonstration of skills and learning through an internal development program
  • Experience in Print Center Operations
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Must be the subject matter expert in the Print Services area
  • Must possess advanced selling skills
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be adaptable to a changing environment
  • Must be able to coach and train others in a professional environment
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess the ability to use technology applicable to role
  • Pays close attention to detail to ensure high quality production in the Print Services area
  • Demonstrate passion for the brand, products, services and solutions offered to our customers
  • Must possess a desire to continually develop personal selling skills and product knowledge
