About the position

The position involves delivering exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying their needs and providing tailored financial solutions. Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service to customers and prospects.
  • Identify customer needs and provide advice on financial solutions.
  • Engage with existing customers to grow loyalty and identify opportunities.
  • Conduct needs assessments to recommend tailored banking solutions.
  • Offer guidance on digital and self-serve banking options.
  • Support customer transaction needs based on traffic.
  • Generate appointments and build relationships within the community.
  • Address questions and resolve issues related to consumer credit audits.
  • Apply risk management frameworks to protect the Bank's assets.
  • Make credit recommendations for personal lending transactions.
  • Collaborate with branch and market teams to enhance customer experience.
  • Integrate marketing promotions into customer conversations.
  • Organize work information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Find creative approaches to personalize customer experiences.
  • Contribute to business results and overall branch experience.
  • Work at multiple branches as needed, with varying schedules.
  • Follow risk and compliance processes to safeguard customer assets.
  • Stay current with financial services marketplace and regulatory environment.
  • Maintain knowledge of personal banking products and trends.
  • Identify and report suspicious activity related to money laundering.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements for the jurisdiction.
  • Complete complex tasks and handle escalations from other employees.
  • Analyze issues and determine next steps.

Requirements

  • Typically 2 - 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Registration to sell investment products (Canada only).
  • Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
  • Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs.
  • Experience in financial services is an asset.
  • Confident in using social media, tablets, and online tools.
  • Experience in a consultative customer service or sales role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers.
  • Aptitude for listening, problem-solving, and responding flexibly.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organization and collaboration skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
