About the position

The position involves delivering exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying their needs and providing tailored financial solutions. The role requires proactive engagement with customers, conducting needs assessments, and recommending appropriate banking products and services. The individual will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while contributing to the overall business objectives of the branch.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to customers and prospects.
• Identify customer needs and provide advice on financial solutions.
• Engage with existing customers to grow loyalty and identify opportunities.
• Conduct needs assessments to recommend tailored banking solutions.
• Support customer transactions based on traffic and needs.
• Generate appointments and build relationships within the community.
• Address questions and resolve issues related to consumer credit audits.
• Apply risk management frameworks to protect the Bank's assets.
• Make credit recommendations for personal lending transactions.
• Collaborate with branch and market teams to enhance customer experience.
• Integrate marketing promotions into customer conversations.
• Organize work information for accuracy and completeness.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the branch customer experience.

Requirements

• Typically 2 - 3 years of relevant experience.
• Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions.
• Experience in financial services is an asset.
• Confident in using social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
• Experience in a consultative customer service or sales role.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers.
• Aptitude for listening, solving problems, and responding flexibly to challenges.
