About the position

As a Retail Route Driver/Merchandiser at Five Star Breaktime Solutions, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that vending machines and micro-markets are fully stocked with a variety of snacks and beverages. This position allows for independent work while managing assigned accounts, utilizing a company box truck for deliveries. Your responsibilities will include loading products, maintaining inventory, and providing excellent customer service, all while adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Load and deliver soft drinks, coffee, snacks, and fresh food to customers.
• Maintain and stock micro-markets and vending machines, ensuring they are visually appealing and fully stocked.
• Monitor and manage perishable food products to ensure freshness.
• Execute plan-o-grams to maintain product displays.
• Perform minor service and adjustments on equipment as needed.
• Record transactions and manage inventory effectively.
• Communicate new products and promotions to customers and set up displays.
• Address customer concerns and resolve issues on-site or through communication with supervisors.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as water filter changes and light bulb replacements.
• Keep the company vehicle clean and organized, following a checklist for maintenance.
• Adhere to safety regulations, including DOT regulations and company guidelines.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Basic math skills for handling cash and inventory.
• Problem-solving skills to address challenges effectively.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a DOT medical physical and drug screen.
• Ability to lift and carry 50lbs+ on a repetitive basis, with frequent reaching, bending, and stooping.
• At least 21 years old (DOT requirement).
• Consent to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
