About the position

The Retail Sales Associate position at our upscale, locally-owned Smoke Shop involves providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their needs related to vape/smoke products, CBD, and other related items. The role requires a strong understanding of the products sold, the ability to verify customer age, and the capability to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system. Responsibilities

• Consult customers based upon their needs
• Verify age (21+) via legal photo ID
• Troubleshoot products and recommend solutions
• Use Point of Sale (POS) system and handle money accurately
• Provide world-class customer service
• Maximize sales through additional accessories
• Keep the store clean, presentable, and organized
• Assist and work collaboratively with team members
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of vaping and smoke shop products
• Maintain punctuality and reliability in attendance

Requirements

• Must be 21+ to apply
• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of personal vape knowledge
• 2 years of retail sales experience (preferred)
• 2 years of customer service experience (preferred)
• Basic math skills
• Good communication skills
• Driver's License
• Basic understanding of smoke shop items

Nice-to-haves

• Personal CBD product knowledge (1 year preferred)
• Personal smoke shop product knowledge (1 year preferred)
