About the position

The Retail Sales Associate / Content Creator position at a small print shop in Downtown LA combines customer service with content creation. The role involves assisting walk-in customers, managing orders, and creating engaging content for social media platforms. The ideal candidate is bilingual in Spanish and enjoys interacting with people while also being comfortable in front of the camera to produce online content.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Understand and promote the products and services offered in the store
  • Utilize point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
  • Stock shelves and merchandise displays as needed
  • Assist with inventory management and replenishment
  • Answer customer inquiries and provide product recommendations
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns with patience and empathy
  • Meet or exceed sales goals on a regular basis
  • Record videos and post to social media
  • Engage in light editing and content creation for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Help organize and host Pop Up Shop events

Requirements

  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Excellent customer service skills (professional, friendly, courteous and helpful)
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain a tidy and well-stocked sales floor
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
  • Proficiency in operating a POS system for accurate transaction processing
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds
  • Experience in customer service (2 years preferred)
  • Experience in retail sales (1 year preferred)

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of technology products to assist customers with their purchases
  • Experience in electronics sales is a plus
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
  • Phone etiquette to handle phone inquiries professionally and efficiently
