About the position
The Retail Sales Associate Footwear at DICK'S Sporting Goods is responsible for creating an exceptional shopping experience for customers by providing assistance, product knowledge, and maintaining store standards. This role emphasizes customer engagement, adherence to merchandising standards, and fostering an inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and proactively approach them to understand their needs.
- Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following established guidelines.
- Promote company programs such as customer loyalty and warranty sales.
- Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
- Create an inclusive store environment for teammates and customers.
- Support the team across the store as needed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs repetitively.
- Ability to work extended periods of time standing or walking (up to 4 hours).
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using a ladder or aerial lifting device.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
