About the position

The Retail Sales Associate Footwear at House of Sport by DICK'S Sporting Goods is responsible for creating an exceptional shopping experience for customers. This role involves engaging with customers, maintaining store presentation standards, promoting company programs, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all. The associate plays a critical role in supporting the team and upholding the company's commitment to inclusivity and diversity.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and proactively understand their needs to enhance their shopping experience.
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following established guidelines.
• Promote company programs such as customer loyalty and warranty sales.
• Adhere to safety and loss prevention policies and maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Create an inclusive environment where all customers and teammates feel welcome and respected.
• Support the team across the store with a collaborative approach.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs repetitively.
• Ability to work extended periods of time standing or walking (up to 4 hours).
• Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using a ladder or aerial lifting device.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
• May be required to submit relevant state mandated clearances to supervise minors.
