About the position

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience at Chef'Store. This role involves operating the cash register, assisting customers on the sales floor, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store. The associate will work overnight shifts, focusing on sales, stocking, and customer interactions to drive sales and manage inventory effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all customers have an impeccable CHEF'STORE experience by developing and maximizing relationships with the store's customers.
• Perform sales and cash functions in the POS efficiently and accurately, including scanning merchandise and weighing products as necessary.
• Verify cart content vs. purchases as customers leave the store.
• Assist in receiving inventory shipments and maintaining and stocking shelves in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Report any low stock levels to store management and ensure all merchandise is properly labeled.
• Participate in the inventory and cycle count process as needed.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the sales floor, front end, and restrooms, and notify management of any safety issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Cash handling experience and basic mathematical aptitude.

Nice-to-haves

• One year of retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service and work in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including holidays and weekends.
