About the position
Retail Sales Associates play a meaningful role at Pure Hockey. The Sales Associate position provides an opportunity, in a leading retail setting, to excel in a growing, high impact, customer focused role, working both independently and as a member of a team, to positively impact the lives of others. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for customers and ensuring they receive the best service possible. Associates will engage with customers, assist them in finding the right products, and provide knowledgeable recommendations based on their needs. The position requires a blend of customer service skills, product knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for greeting customers, responding to their questions, and improving engagement with merchandise. You will also perform cashier duties, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions with precision while following company policies and procedures. Additionally, you will direct customers to merchandise within the store, maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by management. Keeping the store clean and organized, including the sales floor, shop, and restrooms, is also a key part of your responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned by the manager as needed, ensuring that the store operates smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and respond to questions.
- Improve engagement with merchandise and provide outstanding customer service.
- Accurately perform cashier duties, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
- Direct customers to merchandise within the store.
- Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves and updating pricing information.
- Complete inventory management tasks as directed by management.
- Maintain cleanliness of all areas including the sales floor, shop, and restrooms.
- Perform other duties assigned by the manager.
Requirements
- A professional appearance.
- Maintain a positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge or strong passion for hockey.
- Experience using a computer and handheld devices.
- The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work a retail schedule of nights and weekends.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
