About the position

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for executing acquisition strategies, renewing and upgrading memberships, and providing excellent customer service at BJ's Wholesale Club. This role involves handling merchandise returns, exchanges, and general inquiries while promoting the value of BJ's membership programs. The associate is expected to maintain a positive environment for both members and team members, ensuring adherence to club policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute acquisition strategies for BJ's membership programs.
• Renew and upgrade memberships for existing members.
• Handle merchandise returns, exchanges, and general customer service inquiries.
• Promote BJ's value proposition and membership options to potential members.
• Deliver superior customer service as a first point of contact for membership and credit card applications.
• Resolve member concerns in a courteous and timely manner, escalating issues when necessary.
• Assist with Buy Online and Pick Up In Club (BOPIC) orders for members.
• Maintain club policies and procedures and ensure compliance with standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve club goals.

Requirements

• Prior front line/customer service or previous sales experience preferred.
• Results driven with proven success in goal achievement.
• Basic math skills preferred.
• Computer proficiency preferred.
