About the position
The Retail Sales Associate Golf at House of Sport by DICK'S Sporting Goods is responsible for creating an exceptional shopping experience for customers. This role involves engaging with customers, maintaining store presentation standards, promoting company programs, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all. The associate will work collaboratively with teammates to support store operations and uphold company policies.
Responsibilities
- Greet and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and enhance their shopping experience.
- Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor sets and signage requirements.
- Promote company programs such as customer loyalty participation and warranty sales.
- Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures while maintaining confidentiality of company information.
- Create an inclusive store environment where all customers and teammates feel welcome and respected.
- Support the team across the store with a collaborative approach.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Prior retail experience preferred.
- Golf industry experience preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
- Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
- May be required to submit relevant state mandated clearances to supervise minors.
