About the position

The Retail Sales Associate position at Placers involves providing exceptional customer service and engaging with customers in a retail environment focused on outdoor gear. The role requires a passion for the outdoors and the ability to assist customers in finding the right products to support their activities. This position is part-time or full-time and is located in Columbus, OH, reporting directly to the Store Manager.

Responsibilities

• Engage authentically with customers to provide exceptional service and experience.
• Become a brand expert on outdoor gear.
• Assist in inventory procedures including floor replenishment, third party orders, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting.
• Uphold premium merchandising standards to enhance customer experience.
• Execute store cleaning responsibilities.
• Provide an excellent checkout experience for all sales, returns, and exchange transactions using POS.
• Assist with store events and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of customer service and/or retail experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively and accurately complete POS transactions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of outdoor gear preferred.
• Must have a passion for the outdoors, with hunting knowledge preferred.
