About the position

The Retail Sales Associate (Hunting Gear) will provide exceptional customer service and engage with customers to help them find the right outdoor gear. This role is essential for creating a premium shopping experience in the new Vernon Hills, IL store, reporting directly to the Store Manager. The position is available for both part-time and full-time schedules, requiring flexibility to work weekends and various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Engage authentically with customers to provide exceptional service.
• Assist customers in finding the right gear for their outdoor pursuits.
• Become a brand expert and maintain knowledge of products.
• Assist in inventory procedures including floor replenishment and shipping.
• Uphold premium merchandising standards to enhance customer experience.
• Execute store cleaning responsibilities to maintain a tidy environment.
• Provide an excellent checkout experience for all transactions using POS systems.
• Assist with store events and additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of customer service and/or retail experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively and accurately complete POS transactions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of outdoor gear preferred.
• Passion for the outdoors and hunting knowledge preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in sales or retail environments.
• Familiarity with inventory management processes.
