About the position

The Retail Sales Associate position at Pinch A Penny Pool Patio Spa involves assisting customers in a busy family-owned pool supply store. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service, recommending pool products, and ensuring the store is well-maintained. Associates will engage with customers, perform water balance tests, and handle cash register operations while contributing to a fun and lively work environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn pool products and recommend products for each customer's needs.
• Perform water balance tests.
• Answer phones and assist with customer questions.
• Accurately operate a cash register.
• Fill chlorine jugs and help customers to their vehicles with their purchases.
• Ensure the store is clean by dusting shelves, displays, and counter areas.
• Mop, vacuum, and clean windows.
• Take out trash and recycled materials.
• Stock various items and perform other tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Prior retail experience is required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able and willing to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to work with chlorine without having an allergic reaction.
• Applicants cannot be color blind.
