Your physical capabilities will be tested as you may need to climb ladders, move around the store regularly, and stand for extended periods. You should be able to lift, carry, and move items weighing at least 40 lbs. Flexibility in your schedule is important, as you will be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the business's needs. Open availability of 15 to 20 hours per week is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes the product and builds brand relationships.
  • Assist the management team in building store business.
  • Support all service enhancers to build strong relationships, including active use of Concierge.
  • Service multiple customers at a time, multi-task, and handle projects simultaneously.
  • Stay informed about fashion trends and new arrivals, including product knowledge about fit, color, and fashion.
  • Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits for customers and suggest items to match their needs.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships that support a productive work environment.
  • Proactively communicate store information, brand initiatives, discrepancies, and other pertinent information to management.
  • Maximize individual performance by participating in learning opportunities, accepting direction, coaching, and feedback.
  • Achieve sales and service metrics in key measurable areas including Clientelling/Outreach, Appointment Setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
  • Support all areas of operational excellence, including managing inventory according to policies and procedures.
  • Lead/supervise others on occasion and open/close the store for business.
  • Plan and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet the needs of the customer and business.
