About the position

The Sales Associate position at Viva Oliva involves assisting with the daily operations of a retail store specializing in olive oils and specialty foods. The role focuses on providing exceptional customer service, supporting store operations, and contributing to the growth of the business. The associate will work closely with a small team and engage with customers both in-store and online.

Responsibilities

• Be a core part of a small team which will grow and develop the business.
• Provide outstanding and quality customer service with confidence, warmth and detailed product knowledge.
• Proactively assist and support customers with their choices of products for themselves and as gifts.
• Support store operations, policies and procedures including the e-commerce business.
• Assist with the production of in-store and online stock.
• Respond to daily demands, including gift wrapping, preparing shipments, restocking, bottling, inventory control and cleaning.

Requirements

• Experience in retail sales and/or e-commerce.
• High School Diploma or higher.
• Passion for customer service, selling and product knowledge.
• Passion for food, cooking, health and nutrition.
• Positive, professional and energetic attitude.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Food handling experience/certification (preferred but not essential).
