About the position

The Retail Sales Associate at Batteries Plus is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support in a dynamic retail environment. This role involves understanding customer needs, offering solutions, and performing various technical tasks such as battery installation and electronic repairs. The position also includes merchandising and inventory management, ensuring a clean and appealing store appearance, and contributing to a team-oriented atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, ask questions, and determine needs
• Provide complete solutions to customer inquiries
• Operate technology-based Point of Sale system to complete sales transactions
• Handle inbound phone sales and service
• Install large and small batteries in various devices
• Disassemble and reassemble phones and tablets for repairs
• Maintain inventory stock and manage store appearance
• Build displays to market seasonal products
• Prepare the store for daily opening and closing

Requirements

• Previous retail experience preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of store products
• Advanced customer service skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to use a cash register
• Strong professionalism at work
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience when dealing with difficult customers
• Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred

• Base hourly pay with commission opportunities
• $21.00 per hour minimum pay guarantee for the first 6 months
