About the position

The primary responsibility of a Product Specialist at Living Spaces is to execute the Living Spaces Guest Engagement Model, ensuring a positive experience for guests that encourages repeat visits. This role is crucial in achieving targeted Sales Per Hour (SPH) and driving company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), all while maintaining the highest level of guest satisfaction as measured by guest surveys. The Product Specialist will focus on training and development in sales proficiency, ensuring that all training is completed and that the individual can effectively meet company expectations. In addition to training, the Product Specialist will oversee all aspects of merchandising, visual presentation, and labeling according to the style guide directives. Daily task lists must be completed by store teams, and inventory accuracy must be maintained in accordance with company asset protection standards. The role requires driving proficiency in the Living Spaces Guest Engagement Model and connecting behaviors in this model to expected sales outcomes. Self-assessment of daily results is essential, and the Product Specialist will partner with leadership to improve behavioral expectations. The position also involves completing a monthly proficiency plan using end-of-month sales reporting tools to self-assess personal strengths and opportunities. The Product Specialist will help build a positive culture within the store, supporting the entire team in delighting guests and achieving revenue targets. Utilizing all tools to company standards and ensuring proper check-out/in processes are also key responsibilities. The ability to work weekends and most holidays is required, as is the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a primary focus on training and development on sales proficiency process
  • Complete all training and demonstrate the ability to effectively execute to company expectations
  • Execute style guide directives by overseeing all aspects of merchandising, visual and labeling
  • Ensure daily task lists are completed by store teams
  • Ensure inventory accuracy according to company asset protection standard work
  • Drive proficiency using Living Spaces Guest Engagement Model
  • Connect behaviors in the Guest Engagement model to expected sales outcomes
  • Self assess daily results and partner with Leadership on behavioral expectations to improve
  • Complete a monthly proficiency plan by utilizing the end of the month sales reporting tools and self-assessing personal strength and opportunities
  • Help to execute style guide directives and Daily Task List
  • Help to build a culture throughout store that drives positive company expected outcomes
  • Actively support and contribute to the store with the goal of helping the entire team delight guests and achieve revenue targets
  • Utilize all tools to the company standard

  • Ability to work weekends and most holidays
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 year of retail experience in a direct customer interactive environment preferred
  • High volume experience is preferred
  • Experience in Microsoft Office programs
