About the position

The Retail Sales Associate at The UPS Store in Santa Ana is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while managing various retail tasks. This part-time position requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities, including processing packages, operating equipment, and managing financial transactions.

Responsibilities

• Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries.
• Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions.
• Continuously practice good listening skills with customers, UPS associates, and managers.
• Receive, sort, and organize packages accurately.
• Assembles parcels and prepares goods for shipping by wrapping items, weighing packages, and affixing labels.
• Operates the Point of Sale (POS), handles financial transactions, and makes changes.
• Operates copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, lamination, and cash registers.
• Produces, designs, and manages logistics of print projects, following through to completion.
• Multi-tasks while maintaining extreme attention to detail and quality control.
• Opens and/or closes the store and performs end-of-day accounting.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Ensures communications among shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have a clean background check.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must be computer literate with basic functions.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in retail customer service for at least 1 year.
• Knowledge of computer software like Microsoft Office.
• Capability of becoming a Notary Public.
