About the position

Lodi House is seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate for its Thrift Boutique, playing a crucial role in ensuring smooth store operations while supporting the mission to assist women and children in need. The Sales Associate will provide excellent customer service, manage register operations, and oversee daily sales floor activities, including supervising volunteers and processing donations.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers and community members, promoting the mission of Lodi House and fostering a positive environment.
• Provide register and sales assistance to customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the sales floor, ensuring the store is organized, clean, and welcoming.
• Supervise, train, and provide direction to volunteers under the supervision of the store management team.
• Assist with sorting and pricing donations, ensuring items are ready for display.
• Stock shelves and hang clothing in an organized and visually appealing way.
• Take donations from the community, ensuring they are properly processed and stored.
• Ensure smooth operation of sales transactions and contribute to store goals and targets.
• Be a proactive team player, assisting other staff members with various tasks as needed.
• Uphold Lodi House's values and commitment to excellent customer service and community engagement.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with a variety of people and create an enjoyable shopping experience.
• Strong teamwork abilities and a collaborative spirit.
• Availability Monday through Saturday, 9:00am - 5:30pm, with mandatory Saturday shifts.
• Willingness to assist with all aspects of store operations, including sorting donations, pricing, stocking, and hanging clothing.
