About the position
The Retail Sales Associate at Pet Pros LLC is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a pet-friendly retail environment. The role involves engaging with customers, making product recommendations, maintaining store cleanliness, and managing inventory. The ideal candidate is passionate about pets, enjoys learning, and is committed to helping customers find the best products for their pets.
Responsibilities
- Engage with guests in thoughtful conversations and make product recommendations that meet their needs and the needs of their pets.
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
- Learn and maintain inventory, including receiving, stocking, rotating, and facing of products, as well as conducting cycle counts.
- Participate in merchandising and work on creative displays of products.
- Attend store and company meetings, which may occur before or after regular hours.
- Perform transactions for guests at the point of sale accurately and completely.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Able to lift up to 45 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing a ladder.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Highly accountable and possesses integrity.
- Flexible to work within normal store operating hours, including weekends.
- Desire to build a career with the company.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in cash handling and basic math skills.
