About the position

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting them with their shopping needs, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will play a key role in maintaining the store's appearance, managing inventory, and driving sales.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products throughout the store.
• Provide product demonstrations and share knowledge about features and benefits to enhance customer experience.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments.
• Maintain accurate stock levels by monitoring inventory and restocking shelves as needed.
• Assist with visual merchandising to ensure products are displayed attractively and effectively.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Perform basic math calculations for sales transactions and inventory management.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Strong phone etiquette skills for handling customer calls professionally.
• Basic math skills, including retail math, to manage transactions accurately.
• Ability to operate a POS system effectively.
• Experience with cash handling procedures is a plus.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations is beneficial but not required.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to engage customers effectively.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
