About the position

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience at our local farmers markets and in-store. Your ability to communicate effectively and engage with customers will be key in driving sales and promoting our products.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Provide knowledgeable answers to customer inquiries regarding products, promotions, and store policies.
• Utilize upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase overall sales.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Maintain a clean and organized retail sales floor and storage areas, ensuring products are well-stocked and displayed attractively.
• Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
• Collaborate with management to achieve sales targets and provide feedback on customer preferences.
• Demonstrate basic retail math skills to assist with pricing, discounts, and promotions effectively.
• Transport product and supplies to and from local farmers markets.
• Set up and break down our market booth.

Requirements

• 2 years of retail sales experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Basic math skills for handling transactions
• Bilingual abilities are a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
