About the position
The Retail Sales Associate at Empressive Candles will serve as the face of the brand, responsible for creating a welcoming shopping experience for customers at the candle cart in the mall. This role involves engaging with customers, demonstrating product features, and maintaining an organized display while handling transactions and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Greet and engage customers with a friendly, outgoing attitude.
- Learn and retain information about candle products, including scents and benefits.
- Proactively demonstrate product features and answer customer questions.
- Maintain a clean, organized cart and display, ensuring visual appeal.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Stock and restock products as needed, monitoring inventory levels.
- Lift and carry boxes or supplies weighing 30+ lbs as needed.
Requirements
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-oriented attitude.
- Ability to lift and carry 30+ lbs comfortably.
- Trustworthy and reliable with a strong sense of responsibility when handling money and products.
- Willingness to learn about candle products and provide great customer service.
- Prior retail or sales experience is a plus, but not required.
