About the position
The Seasoned Customer Service Associate at SKR Ventures is responsible for delivering exceptional customer sales and service to all retail customers. This role involves receiving and processing packages for courier shipment, as well as operating various office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate will provide expert advice to customers, ensuring they receive accurate information about the wide range of products and services offered, while also guiding them towards the best-value options available. A key aspect of this position is to exhibit confidence and knowledge of industry best practices, which is essential for building trust and rapport with customers. The ideal candidate for this position will possess previous retail sales experience and demonstrate strong computer and internet skills. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor. The Associate must maintain a professional appearance and be a fast learner, eager to understand all aspects of the business quickly. Additionally, candidates are encouraged to start the process of obtaining a notary public certificate within 90 days of employment, as this service will be offered to customers. It is important to note that the California Secretary of State mandates a CA Department of Justice/FBI background check for notary certification. In this role, the Associate will engage in various tasks including shipping and mailing, processing shipments for customers, sorting incoming deliveries, providing packing services, taking passport photos, and offering printing, scanning, and faxing services. The position requires a commitment to customer service excellence and the ability to lift packages weighing up to 40 pounds. Responsibilities
- Deliver world-class customer sales and service to retail customers.
- Receive and process packages for courier shipment.
- Operate copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices.
- Advise customers on products, services, and best-value options.
- Provide accurate information about the company's offerings.
- Exhibit confidence in industry best practices.
- Engage in shipping and mailing tasks, including processing shipments.
- Sort incoming deliveries for customer pickup.
- Provide packing services for customers.
- Take passport photos for customers.
- Offer printing, scanning, and faxing services.
- Verify ID of document signers as a notary public.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in retail.
- Strong customer-facing engagement skills.
- Good time-management and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Prompt, reliable, and responsible work ethic.
- Flexibility to work on weekends (Saturday & Sunday).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability and aspiration to grow into a leadership role.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
