About the position

The Retail Sales Associate at Boost Mobile is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while promoting and selling wireless products and services. This role involves building relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and making professional recommendations to enhance their mobile experience. The associate will also handle sales transactions, maintain store presentation, and assist with inventory management, all while contributing to a positive and energetic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all products and services offered.
  • Consulting with new and existing customers to determine their wireless service needs and making professional recommendations.
  • Teaming up with co-workers to provide excellent sales service and assist in moving customers out as quickly as possible.
  • Maintaining monthly sales goals and quotas by adapting to changes in promotions, rules, and prices.
  • Prioritizing sales while handling customer service issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Carrying at least 30 pounds (security gate, inventory boxes, etc.).
  • Working independently as well as being a team player.
  • Ensuring sales accuracy of daily cash drawer and sales accuracy with customers.
  • Standing for long periods and multitasking in fast-paced environments.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Working in other locations as needed (within 20 minutes).
  • Working outside for store events and maintaining a positive environment despite challenges.
  • Assisting with inventory maintenance, store presentation, and any other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • One or more years of sales experience in a quota-driven environment is strongly preferred.
  • Customer service experience is essential.
  • Wireless experience is a plus, and Spanish speaking is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in handling cash transactions.
  • Mathematical skills for quick calculations and price adjustments.
  • Proficient use of PC and software (Basic MS Office, Typing, Email).
  • Experience with point of sales systems is welcomed.
  • Strong reasoning, problem-solving, and people skills.

  • Tech-savvy personnel are always welcomed.
  • Charisma and strong teamwork skills are a plus.
