The Salvation Army (TSA) Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is dedicated to assisting men and women in their journey through a no-fee rehabilitation program. The organization relies heavily on the commitment and hard work of its employees to maintain and enhance the effectiveness of these programs. As part of the Retail Team at The Salvation Army, you will play a crucial role in serving and impacting the local community through our Chandler Thrift Store, which supports the Adult Rehabilitation Program. This position offers an opportunity to promote a positive shopping and donor experience while enhancing customer service, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Your contributions will directly support the success of our program and its participants. As a Retail Sales Associate/Material Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring that all customer and donor needs are met with genuine greetings and prompt, courteous assistance. You will stock priced items ready for merchandising on the sales floor and assist in maintaining the store and donation area to keep it clean, neat, and organized. This role also involves following all POS/Cash Register Policies in accordance with TSA Policies and Procedures, maintaining safety and compliance standards, and attending required monthly store meetings. You will receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory items accurately and efficiently, provide quality assurance by inspecting products for defects and damages, and assist donors in removing donated items from their vehicles while providing receipts. Additionally, you will separate and sort all donated materials into the proper containers and perform other duties as assigned by management.
