About the position

The Sales Manager at Buddys Home Furnishing is responsible for overseeing store operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and meeting company objectives. This role involves coordinating activities with the General Manager and Credit Manager, managing inventory, and implementing sales and marketing programs to drive profitability.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain customers
• Attend to customer concerns immediately
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local statutes
• Prepare and review store reports
• Ensure adequate availability of merchandise at all times
• Fill out paperwork for submission to corporate support
• Follow monthly marketing plans and maintain internal quality control standards
• Implement sales and marketing programs
• Maintain detailed operating records
• Maintain detailed records of financial services transactions
• Manage inventory and cash assets
• Ensure all merchandise is priced
• Prepare daily work schedules and delivery schedules
• Assign tasks and enforce company policy
• Reconcile daily transactions
• Perform all other duties deemed necessary by store management

Requirements

• Effective organizational skills

• Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
• Proficient in POS system
• Maintain professional appearance
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in person and over the phone
• Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Planning, organizing, delegating, coordinating, and following up on various tasks and assignments
• Problem recognition and solving skills
• Proficient navigational skills with a satisfactory driving record
• Regular and consistent attendance, including nights and weekends as business dictates
• Two years' experience in Rent-to-Own, retail, or other customer service-oriented business
