About the position

The Sales & Design Consultant at Flooring America plays a crucial role in guiding customers through their flooring selection and installation journey. This position combines sales expertise with design knowledge to enhance the customer experience, ensuring that clients feel supported and informed throughout their remodeling investment. The consultant is expected to maintain a welcoming showroom environment, provide exceptional customer service, and leverage personal branding alongside the company's branding to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and neat showroom
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Prospect for new business
• Handle sales from start to estimation
• Sell flooring and floor care products
• Answer customer questions
• Help customers with decorating and/or design advice
• Manage time in the showroom
• Undergo extensive product and sales training to become a certified flooring and design expert
• Keep up-to-date on the wide selection of floors offered along with the benefits and warranties provided by each

Requirements

• Retail sales experience
• Passion and/or experience decorating or designing
• Positive attitude and a strong desire to exceed expectations
• Self-starter
• Personally well-organized
• Microsoft Office or Google Workspace experience
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
