About the position

The Retail Sales Team Member at Billy Heroman's Flowerland is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a retail environment. This role involves engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. The team member will also handle sales transactions, maintain product knowledge, and assist with store operations under the supervision of the Retail Store Manager.

Responsibilities

• Ensure outstanding customer service by providing a customer-friendly environment.
• Interact with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
• Handle customer problems and complaints appropriately.
• Answer phone calls and take phone orders.
• Utilize floral strategies sales methodology when selling to customers.
• Promote retail sales and maximize revenues through suggestive selling.
• Offer loyalty program cards to in-store customers.
• Accurately complete all sales transactions.
• Maintain an acceptable sales average.
• Learn flower varieties and the chain of life process used at Billy Heroman's.
• Maintain awareness of product information, merchandise promotions, and seasonal needs.
• Create beautifully designed wraps and cash and carry bouquets.
• Perform routine housekeeping duties to maintain store cleanliness.
• Ensure product levels are stocked according to guidelines.
• Assist with floor moves, display set-up, pricing, and merchandising.
• Demonstrate overall safety awareness and maintain a tidy work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-5 years retail sales experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
