The Lead at House of Sport by DICK'S Sporting Goods plays a crucial role in executing brand standards and enhancing the teammate experience. The Lead is responsible for fostering a people-first culture, ensuring effective team collaboration, and maintaining high merchandising and presentation standards. They also assist in training and developing teammates, creating an inclusive environment, and upholding company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service and support to teammates.
- Lead by example and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Assist in training new teammates and cross-training current staff.
- Plan and organize store operations 30 days in advance with the Assistant Store Manager.
- Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards.
- Support the store leadership team with general supervision and adherence to policies.
- Create an inclusive environment for teammates and customers.
- Coach and develop teammates on company procedures and programs.
- Ensure accountability and effective execution of daily tasks and projects.
Requirements
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Prior retail sales or customer-focused experience preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs repetitively.
- Ability to work extended periods standing or walking for up to 4 hours.
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using ladders or aerial devices.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time.
