About the position
The Key Carrying Lead at DICK'S Sporting Goods plays a crucial role in executing brand standards and enhancing the teammate experience. This position involves leading by example, providing direction to teammates, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The Lead is responsible for building a strong team culture, planning and organizing store operations, and maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. They also focus on training and developing teammates while upholding merchandising and loss prevention standards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service and support teammates in achieving their goals.
- Lead by example and foster a people-first culture within the store.
- Plan and organize store operations 30 days in advance with the Assistant Store Manager.
- Assist in hiring and training new teammates, including onboarding and cross-training.
- Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards, including inventory management.
- Maintain loss prevention standards and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Support store leadership in general supervision, including opening and closing the store.
- Coach and develop teammates on company procedures and processes.
- Create an inclusive environment for both teammates and customers.
Requirements
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Prior retail sales or customer-focused experience preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs repetitively.
- Ability to work extended periods standing or walking for up to 4 hours.
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using ladders or aerial lifting devices.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods.
