About the position

The Retail Sales Manager for Custom Framing at Michaels is responsible for leading and coaching a team of framers to enhance customer relationships and drive sales in custom framing solutions. This role involves managing store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, and delivering high-quality framing services to customers. The manager will also focus on team development, performance management, and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of framers to build customer relationships and create framing solutions.
  • Assist the Store Manager in managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs.
  • Develop and coach team selling behaviors to enhance sales performance.
  • Plan workload in partnership with the Store Manager to ensure timely delivery of custom framing solutions.
  • Achieve personal and team KPIs related to sales and production.
  • Manage inventory processes and execute shrink and safety programs.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and support team development activities.
  • Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members.
  • Interact positively with customers and team members, promoting the organization's vision and values.
  • Assist with stock management and ensure compliance with truck unloading standards.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills
  • Mid-level retail management experience
  • Leadership skills
  • Experience in custom framing (preferred)
  • Experience leading a sales team (preferred)
