About the position

Ashley Furniture HomeStore is seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to oversee the sales staff and drive maximum growth and profits through effective management of sales operations. The Sales Manager will set and adjust sales goals, manage the overall operations of the retail location in the absence of the Store Manager, and ensure that the sales team is well-coached and motivated to meet performance targets.

Responsibilities

• Manage sales staff and ensure achievement of sales goals.
• Oversee overall operations of the retail location in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Conduct sales meetings to discuss new items, pricing updates, and promotions.
• Monitor and track sales performance and traffic flow.
• Provide coaching and training to sales staff on a daily basis.
• Handle escalated inquiries from sales staff or front office.
• Recruit and train new sales staff regularly.
• Ensure merchandise is prepared according to sales promotions and events.
• Conduct daily closeouts and manage cash handling procedures.
• Review all sales orders and ensure proper pricing and tagging on the sales floor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of retail management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational and computer skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret sales and financing contracts.

• Experience in furniture retail management.
