About the position

The Retail Sales Manager will oversee the daily operations of a retail store, focusing on achieving sales goals and leading a team of employees. This role requires a passion for sales, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor and motivate team members to reach their full potential. The manager will also be responsible for ensuring profitability, implementing sales strategies, and maintaining an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Meet individual and store sales goals while leading and maintaining a winning and objectives-driven team of 2 employees.
• Support, mentor, and motivate your team to reach their fullest productivity and sales potential.
• Ensure that profitability goals for the showroom are consistently achieved and exceeded.
• Lead professional account acquisition and sales engagement.
• Design and implement forward-thinking methods for increasing sales and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Measure, track, and analyze sales performance by individuals and the sales team as a whole and coach your team on how to develop action plans to achieve goals.
• Recruit, hire, train and develop new team members.
• Make sure all product is merchandised and priced accurately.
• Manage and protect store assets for optimal return.
• Learn and stay on top of the industry products, key home remodeling trends, and industry news.
• Assist with materials handling when deliveries arrive, or customers are getting material loaded out.

Requirements

• A minimum of one to three years of related sales management experience.
• Retail sales or flooring experience is a plus.
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate numerical data and to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• A general understanding of technology and the internet (using mobile devices, apps, and internet searches).

Benefits

• Base salary of $36,000 plus commission and bonuses leading to an annual income of $80,000 to $100,000.
