About the position

The Retail Sales Position at Michaels focuses on leading and coaching a team of framers to enhance customer relationships while providing custom framing solutions. The role involves driving sales, managing team performance, and ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures. The position requires active participation in various store operations, including inventory management and customer service, while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of framers to build customer relationships and create framing solutions.
  • Drive custom framing sales and assist customers in creating memorable framing solutions.
  • Assist the Store Manager in managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs.
  • Develop and coach team selling behaviors to enhance performance.
  • Plan workload in partnership with the Store Manager to ensure timely delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions.
  • Achieve personal and team KPIs and manage the framing team to meet their role KPIs.
  • Manage and execute inventory management processes and shrink/safety programs.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members.
  • Participate in truck unloading and stocking processes to maintain store standards.
  • Follow SOPs and ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Previous custom framing experience is preferred.
  • Retail management experience is preferred.
  • Experience leading a sales team is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales is a plus.
