About the position

The Retail Sales Specialist for Starlink at SpaceX is responsible for driving the growth of retail partnerships and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role involves end-to-end management of retail customer relationships, from identifying and developing partnership opportunities to executing contracts and managing ongoing account activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, creativity, and excellent communication abilities to support the strategic direction of Starlink's retail initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support Starlink's growth in identifying, developing, capturing, executing, and expanding retail partnership opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned retail customers post contract closure, focusing on onboarding and ongoing account management.
  • Deliver impeccable customer service, efficiently acknowledging and resolving issues.
  • Build relationships to identify requirements and manage customer expectations.
  • Collect and communicate customer feedback to influence programmatic and technical development.
  • Retain and grow the value of accounts, acting as an extreme owner of assigned retail accounts.
  • Assist with the development of commercial, marketing, and business terms and materials.
  • Support forecasting efforts that inform strategy and planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, regulatory, and business teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or business discipline.
  • 1+ years of consulting or project management experience in business development or sales.
  • 1+ years of experience working with customers to support a technical product or service.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of experience in retail operation roles.
  • 3+ years of experience in customer-facing roles.
  • Experience bringing products/services into retail stores in both domestic US and international markets.
  • Independently motivated with a demonstrated track record of project ownership.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude in a professional setting.
  • Familiarity with satellite communications and the retail industry.
  • MBA or master's degree with a business or engineering-focused curriculum.
  • Strong analytical skills in business and technical issues.
  • Multilingual.
