About the position

The Retail Sales Store Manager at Becker Furniture is responsible for leading a team of sales associates to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets. This role involves managing store operations, mentoring staff, and collaborating with corporate teams to develop sales strategies. Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of sales associates to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor to set a positive example for the team.
  • Implement and uphold high standards for customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Manage store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling.
  • Utilize your understanding of showroom display and design aesthetics to create an inviting and visually appealing sales floor.
  • Take calculated risks to drive sales and improve store performance.
  • Understand and apply basic human resource policies related to team management, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with the corporate team to develop and execute sales strategies and promotional events.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of furniture retail sales experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of furniture retail management experience.
  • Highly extroverted and charismatic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve sales goals.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work 45+ hours per week.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Driven to produce results and take initiative.
  • Strong understanding of showroom display and design aesthetics.
  • Knowledge of basic human resource policies and team management practices.
