About the position

The Store Service Associate at Optimum plays a crucial role in building customer relationships and enhancing the brand's presence. As a brand ambassador, this position focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences, maintaining store standards, and supporting the sales team. The associate will engage with customers, assist with technology demonstrations, and ensure the store environment is welcoming and organized.

Responsibilities

• Provides strong understanding and enthusiasm for technology, especially company products and services, and supports the store team.
• Scans the sales floor to ensure cleanliness and accessibility, reporting issues to leadership.
• Greets customers and identifies sales opportunities, connecting them with sales consultants.
• Demonstrates company technology to new customers to ensure they understand Optimum services.
• Performs non-sales customer service transactions, including equipment returns and order fulfillment.
• Serves as an in-store expert for mobile support, providing post-sales assistance.
• Assists with onboarding mobile customers, including account setup and data transfer.
• Helps leadership with inventory and merchandising responsibilities, ensuring proper stock levels.
• Conducts weekly cycle counts and suggests improvements to enhance store processes.
• Adapts to management priorities while demonstrating professionalism and integrity.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of work experience.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to carry and lift up to 25-pound boxes and remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
• Ability to move in different positions in a retail setting, including tight spaces.
• Occasional ability to ascend/descend a ladder to access products.
