About the position

The Store Service Associate at Optimum plays a crucial role in building customer relationships and enhancing the brand experience. This position involves being the face of the Optimum brand, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the store team in delivering a seamless shopping experience. The associate will be responsible for maintaining store cleanliness, managing inventory, and assisting customers with their needs, ensuring they feel welcomed and informed about the company's products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong understanding and enthusiasm for technology, especially company products and services.
  • Scan the sales floor to ensure accessibility, cleanliness, and functionality of counters, devices, and walkways.
  • Greet customers and identify sales opportunities during peak times, connecting them to sales consultants.
  • Demonstrate company technology to new customers to ensure they understand the basics of Optimum services.
  • Perform non-sales customer service transactions including equipment returns and swaps, and order fulfillment.
  • Serve as an in-store expert for mobile support, providing post-sales support for device data transfers and phone number ports.
  • Assist in onboarding mobile customers, helping with online account setup and data transfer.
  • Inspect the back of the store for clean, secure, and appropriately placed inventory.
  • Assist with receiving inventory and stocking the back of house to store standards.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts and look for opportunities to improve the store count process.
  • Suggest improvements to current processes and procedures to enhance customer and store experience.
  • Adjust and adapt to store management priorities while demonstrating professionalism and integrity.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of work experience.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to carry and lift up to 25-pound boxes and remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to move in different positions in a retail setting, including tight and confined spaces.
  • Occasionally ascend/descend a ladder to access products/boxes.
