About the position

The Retail Sales Teammate at House of Sport by DICK'S Sporting Goods is responsible for creating an exceptional shopping experience for customers. This role involves engaging with customers, maintaining store presentation standards, promoting company programs, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all. The position emphasizes teamwork and accountability while supporting the store's operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and proactively approach them to understand their needs.
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following established guidelines.
• Promote company programs such as customer loyalty and warranty sales.
• Adhere to safety and loss prevention policies and maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome and respected.
• Support the team across the store with a collaborative approach.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs. repetitively.
• Ability to work extended periods of time standing or walking (up to 4 hours).
• Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using a ladder or aerial lifting device.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
