About the position

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking a Retail Sales Territory Manager for the Southeast Florida region. This position is crucial for maintaining and increasing the company's profitability and market share within a designated geographical area. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for developing strong relationships with customers, which is essential for fostering trust and integrity in business dealings. The role involves implementing major market programs and services, as well as managing sample placements to drive business growth. The Territory Sales Manager will conduct daily sales calls on existing customers, with a particular focus on selling hard surface flooring products, samples, displays, adhesives, and related floor products. This includes presenting products to retail dealers, designers, and end-users, as well as analyzing leads provided by corporate reports. The position requires the ability to sell and construct display racks that weigh 50lbs or more regularly. Additionally, the manager must continually prospect for viable new accounts while staying informed about market trends and developments within their territory. The role also involves preparing detailed reports of business transactions and sales, showcasing sales volume and potential sales opportunities. The Territory Sales Manager will communicate periodic sales reports that outline actual sales information, goals, competitive market conditions, and product needs. Analyzing sales statistics through computer reports specific to the territory will aid in formulating goals and assisting dealers in promoting sales. Furthermore, the manager will be responsible for controlling travel and entertainment expenditures, as well as managing the sample budget to align with budgetary requirements. All customer interactions and key information must be entered into Salesforce.com, ensuring accurate tracking and management of customer relationships. The manager will also be responsible for selling and promoting all residential products, including Shaw Floors, A/T, and Philly Commercial, while educating customers about these products.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Previous sales experience required.
  • Ability to interface with a diverse group of customers in a friendly manner.
  • Proficiency in using a laptop computer and basic Microsoft Windows software including MS Office.
  • Physical ability to assemble and take down display fixtures.
  • Must travel in a vehicle that can carry product sample boards, requiring a van or approved SUV.
  • Ability to lift more than 50lbs regularly.
  • Must reside within the territory.
