This position is crucial for maintaining and increasing Shaw's profitability and market share within the designated geographical area. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for developing strong relationships with customers, which is essential for fostering trust and integrity in business dealings. The role involves a comprehensive understanding of Shaw's product offerings, including carpeting, hardwood, laminate, and ceramic tile, and the ability to effectively communicate these products to various stakeholders, including retail dealers, designers, and end-users. The Territory Sales Manager will conduct daily sales calls on existing customers, with a particular focus on hard surface flooring products, samples, displays, adhesives, and related floor products. This includes presenting products, analyzing leads from corporate reports, and constructing display racks that may weigh 50lbs or more. The role requires a proactive approach to prospecting for new accounts while maintaining a keen awareness of market trends and customer needs within the territory. Additionally, the manager will prepare and communicate periodic sales reports that outline actual sales performance, competitive market conditions, and product requirements. The position also involves analyzing sales statistics to formulate goals and assist dealers in promoting sales. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for managing travel and entertainment expenditures, as well as adhering to budgetary requirements for samples. All customer interactions and key information must be documented in Salesforce.com, ensuring accurate tracking of sales activities. The role requires a strong commitment to selling and promoting all residential products, including Shaw Floors, A/T, and Philly Commercial, while educating customers about these offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily sales calls on existing customers with a focus on hard surface flooring products.
  • Present products to retail dealers, designers, and end-users.
  • Analyze leads provided by corporate reports and convert them into sales opportunities.
  • Sell and construct display racks weighing 50lbs or more regularly.
  • Prospect for viable new accounts and maintain awareness of market trends.
  • Prepare reports of business transactions and sales volume.
  • Communicate periodic sales reports outlining actual sales information and goals.
  • Analyze sales statistics to aid in formulating goals and assist dealers in promoting sales.
  • Manage travel and entertainment expenditures and sample budget to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Enter all customer interactions and key information into Salesforce.com.
  • Sell and promote all residential products, including Shaw Floors, A/T, and Philly Commercial.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Previous sales experience required.
  • Ability to interface with a diverse group of customers in a friendly manner.
  • Proficient in using a laptop computer and basic Microsoft Windows software including MS Office.
  • Physically able to assemble and take down display fixtures.
  • Ability to lift more than 50lbs regularly.
  • Must reside within the territory.
